Live Piano Music with Enrique
From Guadalajara where he studied at the Escuela de Música Occidental, Enrique Flores Valencia came to Puerto Vallarta, which he considers a natural paradise, some 17 years ago. Working as a school teacher by day and musician by night, Enrique maintains balance in his life.
"I was a rock-n-roller when I was young, even though I studied classical piano from eight to 14, but I've always just loved music. Now what I like is maybe more complete, both the music and rhythm. I like to play music of Andrew Lloyd Weber and themes of movies."
With one record under his belt called "Night and Day," he likes to focus on themes that evoke other time periods, as in this one, with songs like "Moon River" and songs from Phantom of the Opera.
"What I really like about Café des Artistes, after six years here, is that really we're a great family. Café des Artistes is one of the few places where you can hear romantic music in a peaceful environment."
Enrique plays Monday through Thursday from 8-11 pm in Costantini Wine Bar.
