Located on the second floor of Cafe des Artistes, Thierry Blouet Cocina de Autor adds an exciting new dimension to the Puerto Vallarta restaurant scene. Continuing his evolution in both food and philosophy, Chef Blouet's signature restaurant offers both visitors and local clientele a dining experience like no other in Mexico.
This Epicurean adventure begins in an intimate candlelit dining room, where guests choose three, four, five, or six courses from the Grand Tasting Menu. Each artfully arranged dish is served with a wine specifically chosen to bring out the nuances and enhance the flavors and unique characteristics of both the food and the wine.
Each time you visit Cocina de Autor, you'll discover new delights. Executive Chef Blouet travels the world to discover culinary influences from other cultures, and invites chefs from other regions to visit his restaurants in Puerto Vallarta as well.
Using this interchange of ideas to trigger new taste sensations, he and his passionate team of chefs modify the restaurant's menu regularly to provide diners with an ever-changing array of gastronomic experiences.
This exclusive journey continues with a selection of after dinner cordials and premium hand-rolled cigars served in the private Cognac & Cigar Room. Lushly lit in amber tones, our cigar and cognac salon provides the perfect ambiance for relaxing and enjoying your favorite music from the large selection of CDs in our collection.
Whether you are planning a romantic evening for two or a small group celebration, this memorable culinary experience is by reservation only and limited to 60 guests per evening (indoors 40 guest, outdoors 24 guest).
Cocina de Autor is open every Monday through Saturday from 6-11 pm. Closed on Sundays. Children over 12 are welcome.

Add to this live piano music by the talented Mexican pianist, Antonio Lecomte, and you'll enjoy an exceptional dining experience that soothes the senses and feeds the soul with warmth and passion.
Antonio, whose original score for "The Chess Player" was nominated by the Theater Journalist Association in Mexico for the best original music of the year in 1993, was discovered by MAH Records in 1994, while playing at Café des Artistes.
Lecomte made his international debut with the release of his first CD, Espiritu, a collection of original melodies that reflect the essence of the artist's energy.
Today, he is one of Mexico's favorite composer/pianists, and you can hear him play every Monday through Saturday at Thierry Blouet Cocina de Autor Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta.
